SAM PuttWare is the software that you will need to install on your computer to work with your SAM PuttLab.

Which operating systems are supported by SAM PuttWare?

You need Windows 98 SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000, or Windows XP (Home or Professional Edition) installed on your PC/laptop to run SAM PuttWare.

How can I install the SAM PuttWare on my computer?

Just put the delivered setup CD into your CD drive, the installation program should start automatically. If it doesn't start the "Setup.exe" file from the CD manually. The installation program will guide you through the installation process.

Note: Install the software before connecting the USB plug to your computer!

What is a "Project"?

To maintain effective data management the players can be grouped into Projects . E.g. Projects can be used to separate data for different teachers, for different recording dates or for different events.

Organizing your data in meaningful named Projects will keep the data concise.

How can I change the recording options for measurement and training?

You can open the dialog with the recording options by clicking on the Options icon in the main screen or via the menu entry File.

Using SAM PuttLab

Can I use my own putter?

You can use any kind of putter, because the triplet easily fits on most commercial club shafts. Via state-of-the-art wireless technology your stroke data will be sent to the basic unit.

How accurate is the measurement of PuttLab?

More than 210 data points per second are recorded to determine the position of your club with a precision of 1/10 to 1/100 millimeters.

Do I need batteries?

Yes. For powering the triplet 2 AA-size batteries are needed. The batteries are located in the battery clip. High capacity rechargeable batteries can be used as well.

How do I recognize that the batteries are low or empty?

If the battery power is low the LED on the top of the battery clip will blink in red color. If the batteries are empty you will not get a data signal from your club movement. If you press the start button on the clip it will not activate or only be active for a short time. One pair of batteries will last 5 to 8 hours depending on use of the system. High capacity rechargeable batteries can be used as well.

How to install the Triplet on the shaft?

Open the screw on the Triplet fixation and mount it to the shaft (use the calibration sheet to measure the right position). Be sure that the end with the two markers is on the bottom side. Close the screw lightly. Then adjust the Triplet in 90° degree angle to the club head (see Quick Start Guide). During adjustment, lock the fastener by closing the screw until the Triplet cannot be moved any longer.

SAM PuttLab comes in an easy-to-transport and shock resistant case. The system is ready for daily mobile indoor and outdoor use.

The only thing that does not work in left-hand mode are the games.
