Jamie O’Sullivan, the professional coach at Charleville Golf Course, recently conducted a survey at the club to ask how the membership would like to see their coaching facilities improved and how each member could contribute to that development. The results were a demonstration of just how much a community of players can achieve when they work together. Members at the club included electricians, plasterers and builders; all of whom gave up some of their time to build a brand new coaching studio, the materials for which were funded by donations from members of the club raised through a club-wide raffle and prize giveaway.
Jamie approached MIA Sports Technology for consultation during the planning and construction process to make sure that the dimensions would be appropriate for the equipment they wanted. MIA Sports Technology also incorporated all of their equipment and wiring into the design and build phase so that the finished studio was not strewn with wiring or bits of equipment; everything was pre-fitted behind the scenes.
The coaching studio at the club now hosts a FlightScope® unit which is being used for both club fitting and during lessons; a dual-camera license for V1 Pro to give the professionals video analysis capabilities and two large plasma screens to clearly display all of this information to both the coaching staff and the students.
Since Charleville Golf Course made this investment in their facilities they have seen notable increase in revenue from both club fitting and coaching fees and are reaping all the benefits that a studio brings to a club. This particularly includes the level of service that all members can now receive in addition to the facilities that the coaches can take advantage of. If you are interested in having your own studio designed and built then please contact sales@miasportstechnology.com for expert advice on how to proceed.
